Tribal Fusion Excellence: A 2 day Intensive with Khalida Mahira

In this workshop, you will learn Khalida's 8 point system, her tips on Tribal postures, and shimmies.  The class will open up with a Yoga warm up, and will focus on complete muscle mastery, as well as making all of yoru movements fluid.  Learn the difference between pops and locks, and incorporate layering, as well.

Khalida's Original Tribal Fusion Choreography-Learn an artistic, unique choreography especially created for this workshop by Khalida. Handouts will be available. You don't want to miss this!

Sunday, April 18th, 10 - 12pm

Make-up tips and tricks Part of this workshop will be lecture, but the majority of time will be spent applying the tips and tricks that Khalida has to share about Tribal Fusion Make-up Participants need to bring their own make-up: Concealer, foundation, 2 types of blush, light red or pink and a darker color (darker than own skin tone), pick whatever color eyeshadow but need two shades of same color light and dark, black eye shadow, eyeliner, liquid eyeliner (optional) mascara, lipliner, lipstick (actual stick) gloss (optional) fake eyelashes (optional)  Anyone who stays for the lecture only, will be asked to leave during the hand-on application part of the workshop.

Sunday, April 19th 1pm - 3:00pm

Tribal Costuming - Khalida will go over the differences in Tribal ATS, Tribal Fusion, Raqs Gothique, and Cabaret costuming. You will have a clear idea on what type of costuming is appropriate for Tribal Fusion, which fabrics work best, what is good for starting out, DIY costuming tips, etc. Learn how to make  quality costumes more economically. Handouts including tips, websites, and other ideas will be provided.
